DELIVERY DETAILS - accurate advice updated daily
  • Delivery is normally between 2 and 4 weeks after order.
  • Our summerhouse prices include all delivery charges - unlike others we do not add delivery charges during the checkout process.

SPECIALIST DELIVERY SERVICE: These summerhouses are normally delivered by the fitters in dedicated vehicles. This ensures less damage and no delay between delivery and fitting. Most cheaper summerhouses are delivered by national carriers who normally deliver to the kerbside only. Carriers cause more damage and normally refuse to carry glass or large panels. Their prices are based on weight and panel sizes. As a result, summerhouses delivered by outside carriers are made in small and flimsy lightweight sections with less wood. The benefits of our specialist delivery service include less damage, larger more rigid panels and heavier construction.

OPTIONS - the options you can add to your basket

  • Choice of pressure treated timber (lifetime preservative treatment) or timber treated by total immersion in a high quality preservative
  • 30" deep open front verandah with decking to floor and balustrade to each side
  • Larger 48" deep enclosed verandah with decking to floor and balustrade to the sides and front
  • Pressure treated 3" x 3" floor bearers (lifetime preservative treatment)
  • Cedar slatted roof fitted on top of a felted solid pine inner roof
  • Decorative green, red or brown mineral felt tiles
  • Toughened glass
  • Choice of side windows to both sides, to one side only or to neither side
  • This summerhouse can be made in smaller sections if access is restricted

PRESSURE TREATED TIMBER: Pressure treatment is a lifetime preservative treatment. The preservative is forced into the timber under pressure and penetrates below the surface, whereas all other treatments apply a coat of stain to the surface of the timber only. Pressure treatment is almost colourless except for a slight green tint caused by the copper content in the preservative. No further treatment is ever needed but if you want a coloured finish you can paint over pressure treated timber with normal wood preservative in any colour.

FLOOR BEARERS: Bearers are substantial pressure treated beams under the floor, which will prolong the life of your summerhouse. The bearers are the only part of the summerhouse which is in contact with the ground and they are pressure treated for longer life. The bearers also raise the floor above the ground. This allows air to circulate under the floor to reduce dampness and also reduces saturation of the lower cladding boards.

CEDAR SLATTED ROOF: Attractive and durable cedar slatted roof fitted on top of a felted solid pine inner roof. Cedar slatted roofs are manufactured using smooth planed Western Red cedar boards. Cedar is a naturally resilient timber which lasts longer than pine and other softwoods even if never treated from new. Western Red Cedar is a sustainable resource from North America.

DECORATIVE FELT TILES: Mineral coated bitumen felt tiles are an attractive and durable roofing material which is far more hardwearing than standard roofing felt. Traditionally used for small buildings only in the UK, most felt tiles are made in Scandinavia where they are used widely in housebuilding.

RESTRICTED ACCESS: A quality feature of these summerhouses is that they are made in large rigid panels. If access is restricted, your summerhouse can be specially made in smaller sections designed to pass through a normal single door. The smaller sections are designed to be at least as strong as the larger panels normally supplied. There is a charge for this option and notice is required with the order. For more details see "Other options".
